History
During 1984 our managing director established a company called Mc Phillyn Labour Brokers. It was an agency that exclusively rendered staffing services for disadvantaged people in the Free State. For more than two years they successfully placed disadvantaged employees at employers. Due to the poor remuneration structures for such people on whom the fees were calculated, the company targeted the broader labour market and changed its corporate indentity to Du Plessis & Partners Personnel (generally called "Duplessis Personnel"). Due to our ongoing commitment to rendering a service to disadvantaged people and the broader community, we are proud to say that no other agency recorded as many affirmative action placements than Duplessis & Personnel during the past nearly three decades in central South Africa. With our centralised operational structure we've empowered thousands of individuals.
BEE STATUS. We are accredited as a “level four contributor ” having broad-based black economic empowerment procurement recognition of 100%.

Rather than rely on a loosely affiliated network of company owned or franchised branch offices, our centralised recruitment structure enables us to ensure a consistent level of quality in our placements. Our centralised bank of candidates means that all appropriate job opportunities irrespective of location are reviewed, increasing the likelihood that a job order will be filled.

RISK ASSESSMENT
We are a fully accredited to perform Criminal and Credit Verification/checks on any candidate you want to appoint via the AFISwitch electronic system. Results will be available within 48 hours. By appointing one of our candidates, no additional fees will be charged for these services.

INTERVIEWING AND TESTING
Experience leads us to use different approaches in interviewing candidates, pending on the job description and job specification. Nevertheless, all our interviews includes a “case study” phase whereby candidates have to reveal their abilities and behavior in “real time” situations from their past. This is also verified by means of reference checks.
We are further in the enviable position to have formed associations with highly respected professional individuals and firms such as Industrial Psychologists who guide and assist us in selecting the most appropriate psychometric tests for a specific position or organisation on request.
